In this Workpackage ethical aspects related to EADGENE are central. Ethical issues within the Network itself are identified and discussed. Besideds this, the workpackage focusses on ethical issues concerning general public. Solutions and dilemmas regarding ethical issues are communicated with relevant people and organisations.

WP Objectives:

  • To allow local groups of Network participants to engage in structured discussion about EADGENE related ethical and societal issues based on the use of a newly developed ethical deliberation tool (modified ethical matrix)
  • To continue facilitation of capacity and awareness building on ethical and societal aspects of the EADGENE activities within the Network
  • To set up contacts with external stakeholders on perception of EADGENE issues
  • To develop remaining strategy and advice on ethical issues for the Network

WP Achievements:

  • In an Ethical Workshop a group of Network participants dicussed EADGENE related ethical and societal issues based on the use of a newly developed ethical deliberation tool (modified ethical matrix), as a result of this a set of EADGENE specific internal research guidelines have been developed.
